Making Butter

Last week we made butter! We made butter with Mrs Trotter so that we could write about it.

Here are some photos to show what we did.

First we poured some cream into a jar.

Next we took turns shaking the jar to turn the cream into butter.

Then we tipped out the buttermilk and cleaned the butter by pouring some water in and shaking it in again.

We had a chance to try our butter at the end. We thought it tasted better than butter from the shop!

Tractor Fun!

We all had a wonderful time climbing into the tractor and posing for a photo! Some of us in Room C were a little bit nervous about it and didn't want to do it but we were so brave and we got a photo of everyone in Room C! (Even Mrs Hamilton!)

Parents- If you're wanting copies of these, let me know and I can send you the photo through email! :)

With a Moo Moo here and an Oink Oink there...

As part of our Milk unit, we recently went for a trip to the farm!

We had the opportunity to see cows being milked, ask questions, see pigs and have our fingers sucked by baby calves!

We also had a chance to sit in a tractor! Photos of that to come soon :)
Thank you so much to the wonderful parents who came and helped us!
Mrs Williams, Mrs Smith, Mrs Butler, Mr Anthony, Miss Deejay, Mrs Taylor and Mrs Manson, we are so grateful for your willingness to help and enthusiasm on the trip! We had a great time and hope you did too.
